Raspberry Hill is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on a forested hillside overlooking Kootenay Lake and the Selkirk Mountains. Our private setting is near the village of Gray Creek, just off the small rural highway which follows the lakeshore.

Lawn and garden surround the house, with the forest beckoning beyond. Around the yard flowers abound, and there are many raspberries for you to feast upon during the summer season!

Out the back door is a whole mountain of possibilities, making it a great base for winter time skiing and snowmobiling. It's a short walk to the beach, forest and local services, including groceries, liquor store, gas, post office and video rentals, and a short drive to local golfing, horseback riding, restaurants, artisans, the Kootenay Lake ferry and much more. The house itself is a work of love, and of art. A relaxing, comfortable and beautiful environment inspired by the abundant natural life and splendour surrounding it. Clean and spacious, with hardwood floors throughout, its four bedrooms with queen sized and twin beds comfortably sleep up to 8 people. It is well insulated, staying cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

The kitchen, dining room, living room and deck all overlook Kootenay Lake and the Selkirk Mountains. The kitchen has a coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster and all the cooking and bakeware necessary for making your meals. The dining area has a beautiful bay window with lake view. Enjoy your coffee and watch Bald Eagles fly by! This is a forest wilderness area and there are many animals to enjoy. Watch the hummingbirds sip the honeysuckle nectar, the squirrels carry on in their beautiful hemlock tree, and the whitetail deer graze by casually.

The living room has satellite TV & DVD, just in case you get tired of the view! There are binoculars to watch the deer and birds, and local history bird and plant books. Truly a great place for nature lovers! The living room also has a phone for local calls, and long distance calls can be made with a calling card.

You'll notice lots of local art and crafts around the house, from the original paintings to the wrought iron coat hooks. You can visit the local artisans in their public workshops, and have the opportunity to purchase the masterpieces you've watched them make!

Each bedroom is unique and creatively decorated, surrounding you with colour. Comfortable queen size beds come with all linen on site.

Two additional bedrooms downstairs provide extra living area - one has a Queen sized bed and lake view, and the another has two single beds. Also downstairs you will find a fridge, coffee maker, and half bath. A walk-out patio sports a fish pond and beautiful lake view.

Also downstairs is a laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing board. There is also a clothesline outside, for super fresh drying, and a patio and fish pond provide a handy refuge where you can find a quiet space to read or just take in the environment.

And after full day of outdoors play retreat to the full bath, with its sumptuous new soaker tub and shower large enough for two. Towels, locally made soaps and candles are supplied for you to enjoy a relaxing and pleasurable soak. A cocoon of warmth and luxury to soothe your muscles after a great day of hiking or skiing!

Feeling more social? Take your party to the four person outdoor hot tub, and soak up the scenery with friends and family. You can even enjoy the hot tub when it's rainy, from its sheltered spot tucked under the protection of the deck. What could be more perfect?

The recently renovated deck has a great view of the lake and surrounding forest and mountains. It comes complete with table and chairs shaded with a large umbrella, and a propane barbeque for outdoor cooking. A great place to relax outdoors. Nearby are many flowering plants, a fish pond, and of course lots of berries to enjoy!

There is ample covered parking available, large enough to fit an RV or two vehicles.
